Austin Revolution Film Festival kicks off Year 8

The Austin Revolution Film Festival, now in its 8th year, will premiere their festival February 15-19, 2022.

According to their website, “The Revolution Film Festival, in its 8th year, captures the indie film vibe of Austin by screening some of the coolest indies from around the world, in some of the coolest venues in town. We fill the void for truly independent films in the city of Austin, focusing on story first, and we strive to bring unique and truly independent voices to the Texas capital.”

The categories in the festival will include Feature Screenings, Web Series Screenings, Trailer Screenings, Panels and Networking, Short Screenings, and Texas Shorts.

Javelina Run

Director: Lisa Belcher

Two idiot ranch hands pretend to be fugitive train robbers to get attention from the ladies at an old west saloon.

Texas AF

Director: David N. Reyes

Texas AF is a feature-length comedy about a two college roommates who’s relationship is at a crossroads. Flaco and Eddy are best friends and enjoy their freedom and living life to it’s fullest. Their relationship is strained and tested as each are pulled in opposite directions.

Fabletown

Director: Jordan O’Neal

A community of fairy tale characters live in hiding from the mundane, human world in New York City. But when one Fable’s true identity is exposed, a long lost ally must return to face the community’s greatest threat, or their way of life will be forever lost.

Mors Bonum

Director: Paulina Manseau

A man wakes up in a mansion with no recollection of how he got there. A mysterious figure helps him face his inner demons.

Oh Deer

Director: Richard C. Jones

A dark comedy about the perils of parenting.

Scattered

Director: Mike Donis

A brother and sister make an overnight drive to scatter their parent’s ashes.

Throw Like a Girl

Director: Seri DeYoung

Despite the odds, Tanya Benter dreams of playing Major League Baseball. Her brother Brian has helped her become one of her high school’s best players. Now she faces the inevitable. The Mushroom Huntress
