Submissions Open for 10th Annual Austin Revolution Film Festival

Written by Kristen Reyes

The 10th annual Austin Revolution Film Festival took place from March 25th-27th this year. Reviewed as “one of the best ‘true’ independent film festivals in the world,” the ARFF was founded by filmmakers who wanted to create their own festival that presented more networking, press, and collaboration opportunities to indie filmmakers. Run by filmmakers, the ARFF has been sponsored by industry professionals such as FilmFreeway, InkTip, Final Draft, and the Ambassador Global Group.

The ARFF takes pride in screening some of the most interesting indie films around the globe, while ensuring to bring the unique stories of independent voices to Austin. Submissions for the 10th annual ARFF are currently open and can be submitted through FilmFreeway on the ARFF website. The regular submission deadline for the 10th annual ARFF is set for August 15th

Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the ARFF plans to host an extended in-person screening event of the selected films from both the 9th and 10th annual Austin Revolution Film Festivals from February 15-19, 2022 at the Crown Plaza Austin Hotel. Awards will be presented for several categories, including features, web series, music videos, and short screenplays. Tickets are available in a variety of options, and can be purchased once the official schedule for the in-person event has been announced in a few short months.
